When did you first realise you had a love for fashion and beauty?
From a young age- it took me a while and a few phases to go through before I finally found my style!
Who are your fashion/beauty inspirations?
I love Alexa Chung’s quirky style, also Blake Lively who always looks so effortlessly flawless. Beauty-wise Rihanna and also Carli Bybel- I’m obsessed with her videos!
What item of clothing could you not live without?
My pair of black Levi skinny jeans! They’re so versatile I literally wear them with everything
What is your favourite era of fashion/beauty history?
Ooooh, I think the 90s for fashion! I love all the denim, flares, cord and plaid. Beauty-wise probably the 60s as I love all the eyeliner and fluttery lashes!
What past trends do you wish could make a comeback?
All of the ones I wished for have actually come back! Trends are always doing cycles and I am so obsessed with the velvet trend at the moment.
And similarly, which trends do you wish could stay away forever?
Bleached hair on guys… I’m sorry but only a select few can pull it off!
When did you decide to become a YouTuber?
Around four years ago when I was going through a tough time, so took a year out of college.
On your YouTube channel, you also talk openly about Mental Health. How did you learn to be so confident opening your soul to everyone?
I don’t really know to be honest. When I became really ill I met lots of people in similar situations and one thing they taught me is to not be ashamed. I thought that surely there would be other people out there on the internet who felt the same, so I started posting honest posts on Instagram about how I really felt and how we shouldn’t judge a picture by what we see because the reality is often very different. When I found me being honest helped others I haven’t looked back.
What is the one message you would like people to take away from your videos?
That nobody is perfect! I certainly don’t claim to be, and I hope my honesty inspires other people.
What has been your best experience since becoming a YouTuber?
I’ve had SO many amazing experiences, but I was lucky enough to go on a trip to Barbados last year and had my birthday whilst out there. We went on a boat trip and swam with turtles which were incredible.
What advice would you give to people who want to start making YouTube videos?
Be yourself. Don’t try and copy everyone else just come with original video ideas- videos that you want to make and be patient, people will come!
