2019 marks the return of many formidable stars of the silver screen, both animated and live action. With sequels to some hotly anticipated superhero adaptations, to much-loved TV shows making the leap to the big screen and reincarnations of some cult classics. 2019 is going to be a busy year for cinema-goers. To help you narrow down your choices, see what we recommend for you!
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
Bold and confident Aries should look forward to the release of sure-to-be highest grossing movie, Avengers: Endgame (released in the UK on the 26th of April).
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
Soft and gentle Taurus, should kick back and relax watching the first of three Disney offerings in 2019, Tim Burton’s Dumbo (UK release March 26th).
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
Hectic, busy-bee Gemini’s will appreciate this almost ‘self-titled’ sci-fi offering, Gemini Man, starring Will Smith as an assassin who has to battle himself.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
Highly intuitive and emotional Cancer’s may enjoy something that tests their ability to read the energies in the room, by viewing the second installment of Stephen King’s IT: Chapter Two (coming to UK cinemas September 6th).
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
HIgh spirited and vivacious Leo’s should celebrate the return of a childhood classic, Toy Story 4, guaranteed to bring a smile to your face in the Summer.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
Diligent and practical Virgo’s will enjoy the silver screen adaptation of Downton Abbey in September.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
Balanced and harmonious Libra’s will enjoy the movie, Where’d You Go, Bernadette, promised to be equal parts drama and comedy.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Spooky and misunderstood Scorpio’s should indulge in Stephen King’s other horror offering, Pet Cematery. A creepy tale of the dead coming back to life.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
Sagittarius’ on a quest for knowledge and power should grab some popcorn and watch the biopic, Rocketman, an interesting looking film documenting Elton John’s rise to fame. This style of film is seeming incredibly popular after the success of Bohemian Rhapsody.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
Mythological Capricorn’s will be spellbound at the movie adaptation of Broadway hit Wicked, coming to the big screen towards the end of 2019.
Aquarius (20 January – February 18)
Humanitarian Aquarius, known as the healer amongst astrological star signs, will adore the themes of family and love that run through Disney’s hotly anticipated Lion King live-action adaptation.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
Pisces that desire a touch of fantasy will in no doubt be enchanted by Frozen 2. Whether you love it or loathe it, we just can’t Let It Go!
Although it may seem like the year of adaptation and sequel, there are some new titles that are ones to watch. Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, comes with a stream of controversy before it and WW2 movie Greyhound, both have a lot of promise. 2019 is shaping up to be a great year of cinema, there are a lot of films with the potential to become instant classics – let’s hope they live up to the hype!
