Advent calendars of 2019 – best in class

The countdown to Christmas couldn’t be more exciting, or could it?

In previous years, the rise of advent calendars has seen more exciting contents than actual presents, and sometimes comes with a much higher price tag too. The feeling of a new treat each day enhances Christmas excitement levels as well as gets us in the festive spirit as soon as possible. Not only do they make lovely gifts for friends or family but can add an element of self-love if you choose to treat yourself (which we couldn’t encourage more).  We try out advent calendars that don’t just include a tiny nibble of chocolate, let us know your recommendations in the comments.

Tea or coffee?

There’s nothing cosier than a hot drink during the colder months. For a special touch this Christmas treat a coffee lover to a Personalised Coffee Advent Calendar Box (£49.99). Just Love It have released a coffee advent calendar for you to have a budding new flavour each day throughout December. 25 Nespresso compatible coffee pods express 13 different flavours for those who require that caffeine buzz. A perfect opportunity to try new flavours and open up your coffee pallet.

If you’re not a coffee lover, Holland and Barrett have also released a 24 Day Tea Advent Calendar (£4.99) with a selection of carefully chosen organic teas. From fruit to herbal each tea has a new flavour. Name a better way to start your day!

The countdown has never smelt nicer, perfect for grownups this stylish candle gives scents of luxury and settle you down during the winter evenings. The 180ml jar candle is presented in an apothecary style jar with lid and filled with a natural soy wax. Hand poured in our Manchester workshop, the candles are personalised to order before being beautifully packaged by hand.
