The main question of the season in the beauty industry is whether to wear a hat in autumn and winter. Hats and beanies electrify hair, crumple it, especially if you have bangs, and this leads to the formation of dandruff. Although this is true, it only happens if you do not follow some simple rules. We are here to help, as always, so we gathered the top tips and tricks for autumn and winter hair care.
Say yes to hats and beanies!
Cold constricts blood vessels impairing blood circulation which in turn leads to hair loss and slower growth. When choosing a winter hat, shop for models from natural fabrics that do not contain synthetics. Synthetics hampers the heat exchange and breathing of the scalp can cause skin irritation and even dandruff. It is best to wear hats made of natural wool.
Dry your hair well
Wet hair can weaken and begin to break when it’s cold outside. The remains of water may simply freeze between the hair scales. To avoid big temperature changes, it is better to dry your hair fully with not very hot air.
Use antistatic hair products
With antistatic products hair will not electrify and break. Almost any styling product would be able to cope with this task for winter hair care. For those of you who do not like to use styling products, you can use serum that will moisturise the hair and give it some extra shine and volume.
Massage and peeling for winter hair care
Under a warm hat the scalp is sweating which leads to the formation of greasy congestion and dandruff. You have to wash your hair every day which is not very good for the hair. Therefore, we advise you to do deep cleansing once or twice a week – peels or masks in addition to regular care. Make sure to do regular head massage to improve microcirculation.
Change your hair styling routine
Winter hair care is tough. Some hats strongly press the hair, so the chances of saving styling are extremely small. The main point is the choice of a hat or a beanie without a tight band, so pick the ones that do not strongly tighten the whole head. Replace the hairspray with powder for volume. It does not stick hair. After removing the hat slightly straighten the hair with your hands and you’ll be able to get back the original look you were going for.
