Balenciaga is bringing its copyshop concept to London’s Dover Street Market.
From the 30th of November till the 17th of December, just in time for the Christmas presents rush, the brand is set to offer a personalized T-shirt printing service in the famous Dover Street Market department store. The service was first unveiled by the brand during its takeover of Paris concept store Colette in summer 2016.
Touch screens will allow customers to create their own designs, using a selection of Balenciaga’s logos and graphics. All of this would be easily customisable for you to print on t-shirts. The tees will be available in black, white, grey and red, in two sizes for men and for women, and will feature the phrase ‘Balenciaga Do It Yourself Ts’ on the back.
The project is an offshoot of Balenciaga’s creative director Demna Gvasalia’s menswear Autumn/Winter 2017 fashion that explores the corporate world of the brand’s parent company Kering.
To mark the inauguration of the copyshop on the launch day, the 30th of November, Balenciaga will offer an exclusive colourway of its Triple S sneaker in all Dover Street Market stores worldwide. The London installation will also feature a sculpture by Mark Jenkins and multiple video screens.
