Beauty Craze of the Month: Yearning for Yellow

In theory the concept of sweeping yellow blush on your cheeks probably doesn’t sound too appealing, but once applied the face, you will feel sunny with a vibrant glow.

Traditionally cheek make-up shades tend to delve towards the darker bronze, plum, red and pink tones. So it’s fun to mix it up a bit by experimenting with brighter colours, like a summery yellow or marvellous mustard.

Yes, sunshine yellow may seem bold and a bit scary for some, but we have found it is actually incredibly wearable, even on a casual basis.

If you’re the type to go for a more high-fashion look and love to shock you can opt for a heavy application of the blush, whereas if you’re looking to be more subtle, then a gentle whisk of colour still gives a cheerful glowy look, whilst keeping the rest of the face make-up to a minimum.

The yellow shade can also be worn with coordinated eye shadow and lips or just lightly brushed across the cheekbones and eyelids.

Yellow hues usually occur naturally anyway in most skin tones, so it’s technically just exaggerating what’s already there.
