No one has a style quite as eccentric as Priyanka Chopra. The model and actress can go from wearing a monochrome ensemble and formal headpiece one week, to a martian inspired couture gown the next. Nevertheless, she pulls off every look with the best accessory of all: a huge, gleaming smile. On her thirty-seventh birthday, we look back at this Bollywood beauty’s inimitably glamourous style.
For her official crowning as Miss World in 2000, Chopra wore a gorgeous baby pink strapless gown which shimmered every bit as much as her crown.
Her acting debut was in the film Thamizhan in 2002, not long after her victory as Miss World. Here she wears stunning heritage colours of orange and green, reflecting her nations flag, and completes her looks with a traditional bindi and bangles up to her elbows.
The model wore a coral bridal two piece by Manish Malhotra, proving that there is nothing the woman cannot look good in.
At the Guess Portrait Studio in 2013, Chopra wore a one shoulder cut out gown by Gauri and Nainika. The black and white number looked stunning with her complexion and bright red lip.
Priyanka took to the pink carpet of the 2016 Billboard Music Awards in an Atelier Versace aquamarine cross over dress with thigh high slit, finishing off the slick look with a side fringe and braid.
For the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in 2017, Chopra wore an elegant plunging Michael Kors dress with ruffled sleeves.
Priyanka selected a bright pink Fendi look for the 2017 Toronto Film Festival. She contrasted the polished outfit with some edgy studded biker boots for the ultimate styling juxtapostition.
Priyanka Chopra wore Ralph Lauren for the 2018 Met Gala. Although many argued that the beaded burgundy dress disregarded the theme – ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’ – it was inspired as a “Sunday best” outfit and was a nod to Priyanka’s ethnic background.
For a pit stop at Good Morning America whilst promoting the film “A Kid like Jake”, Chopra wore a yellow and pink bodysuit and skirt by Prabal Gurung. If only we could all look like this in a morning.
For the 2018 Royal Wedding, Priyanka supported bride-to-be Meghan Markle in a lavender Vivienne Westwood look.
For the Met Gala 2019, the actress took the red carpet with new hubby Nick Jonas in a Dior couture gown. The silver dress, which took over 1500 hours to put together, was futuristic but equally on theme with the campy addition of bright yellow and pink feathers.
Happy Birthday to Priyanka Chopra-Jonas! We can’t wait to see what she’ll be wearing next.
