Nobody likes September, it’s dreary and summers over. But not this September- the 27th will see one of Karl Lagerfeld’s last projects come to life… Rock-Chic. His sleek style will become a diamond in the rough as L’Oréal Paris’s “Rock-Chic” make-up collection plans to bring out his classic and effortless influence.
The German designer was no stranger to collaborations with the fashion house having previously partnered Olivia Palermo, Balmain, model Kaia Gerber and sportswear phenomenon Puma.
The new collection will combine the makeup brands expertise in colours, clinical research and trends with Mr. Lagerfeld’s iconic quotations. His career upturned the hierarchy of fashion complimenting the make-up collection’s values of empowerment.
“This line of make-up truly reflects the Karl Lagerfeld brand universe and what Karl loved in make-up – he often used eye-shadows as colours in his sketches,“ said Caroline Lebar, Head of Image and Communication at Maison Karl Lagerfeld. “L’Oréal Paris has an inclusive message of beauty for all. Karl liked it when a collaboration resonated with his brand and would make a real impact to many people.”
“For L’Oréal Paris, all of our fashion designer collaborations are an honour, but this one is particularly meaningful,” said Delphine Viguier, L’Oréal Paris Global Brand President.
This line of makeup will reflect Karl Lagerfeld’s creativity and his love art, encouraging signature looks to accompany the cosmetics.
Set to launch this autumn, will you be trying out Rock-Chic?
