Istituto Marangoni London unveiled the NEW ERA, a pioneering event in which the School enables their 10 best talents of the year to showcase their collections through a bespoke and visionary Fashion Show. The theme for this season’s graduate fashion show is ‘a combination of how technology, nature and forward thinking can drive us’.
Through a visionary reflection upon the contamination between fashion, technology and environment, this year’s graduate fashion show gives voice to a new generational understanding of concepts and trends of the future, within an international landscape.
10 Fashion Design students have been selected to showcase their creations, chosen by an authoritative Jury of industry professionals who have carefully selected the winners. Each of the chosen talents will present 6 outfits on the runway. These collections are the result of in-depth research and experimentation carried out during the 3-year academic period are attentive to fashion trends while keeping an inspired optimistic and forward-looking approach.
Each student presents their own personal view on inspirations from all over the world, ranging from Chinese traditions to Italian heritage and performance arts, through history and futuristic lenses, all the way through the 60s and 70s swinging London and the USSR Russia from the 20s. The reach in terms of creative outcome is entirely global, as a reflection of both London’s and the School’s international approach and horizons.
Mittelmoda finalist Andrea Roman will showcase a full menswear collection, Natalia Esteve Garcia Ancira will showcase both womenswear & menswear collections. All the other graduates, Silje Wamnes, Arian Krasniqi, Ao Lun He, Rebecca Samoon, Kristina Novikova, Vinny Lim, Antonia Garcia and Gaia Burani are debuting on the catwalk with womenswear.
