Oscars: beauty procedures before the ceremony

Fillers in the lobes and feet, fake tan with contouring, leg shape correction and other emergency beauty procedure actors and actresses do before the anticipated ceremony.

Feet injections

A week before the ceremony, the hyaluronic acid injections in the heels and pads of the fingers are becoming popular among actresses. A plastic surgeon from Beverly Hills, Gabriel Chiu, explains that such fillers create some sort of a ‘cushion’ for the feet in order to reduce pressure from prolonged wearing of high heels.

Lobe injections

As Dr. Karin Grossman from Los Angeles notes, many actresses do this procedure because of the frequent need to wear heavy earrings on the red carpet. As a result of the injection, the lobe becomes more elastic, the hole for the earrings becomes smaller. The effect of the procedure lasts up to two years.

Diamond microdermabrasion is most often done on the face. This hardware procedure grinds the skin, carefully peeling off the top layer and leveling the surface. Before Oscars some movie stars do this procedure for the whole body.

Buttocks injections

Plastic surgeon Sheila Nazaryan from Beverly Hills says she often uses Sculptra’s lactate-based filler for the buttock area. She explains that lactic acid affects the production of collagen, which causes the buttocks to ‘swell’ a little.

Fake tan

The Famous brand St. Tropez is responsible for the beautiful skin colour in Hollywood, palette of which consists of many natural tan colors. The procedure contains a complex care with scrubbing, moisturizing and applying artificial, ‘fake’ tan. One of the favourites of Hollywood stars is Make Me Glow care, during which masters use several shades to create highlights and shadows on the body for beautiful contouring.

Back liposuction

The most problematic areas of the back are in the shoulder strap zone behind the armpits, which are quite difficult to pump. This area are visible with an open dress and especially in case if the outfit is on thin straps. The procedure is not complicated, tissues are restored after a month, but the best result is observed only after six months.

Diamond and Rose Peeling

Luxurious facial and body massage by Natura Bisse cosmetics renews the skin and gives it extra radiance. At the heart of all means of care here is a diamond crumb mixed with Damascus rose oil. The procedure was developed 11 years ago specifically to prepare the stars for the Oscars.

Botox injections in the armpits

As is known Botox is prescribed for hyperhidrosis, or in other words – increased sweating. Botox blocks the impulses coming from the nerve fibers to the sweat glands. A week before the ceremony, many stars do Botox injections, so that there are no traces left on the gorgeous designer dresses.

This procedure is now at the peak of its popularity across Hollywood. It involves liposuction, lifting and hip correction. Dresses with high cuts dictate their own rules: thin ankles, tightened knees, elegant leg calves. Thighlighting implies one or a set of procedures depending on the desired outcome. The rehabilitation period is less than two weeks.

And you thought it’s just the dress selection that bothers the Hollywood stars and their stylists? What do you think of these procedures?
