Star Wars: Galaxy Edge Theme Park – all you need to know

Get your fast passes ready because California’s Disneyland is set to open its largest expansion since their founding on the 31st of May – Star Wars: Galaxy Edge theme park. Here is the lowdown on everything you can expect to see on your galactic journey.

Exciting rides

  • Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
    An interactive thrill ride themed to be in the famous cockpit of the Millennium Falcon
  • Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
    Rise of the resistance will be opening later in the year, rumours of the attraction having 18 different show scenes and involve 5 different ride systems have been circulating though disney has not confirmed any of them yet.

Customisable Star Wars: Galaxy Edge Theme Park merchandise

Customize your very own lightsaber or design, assemble and activate your very own droid choosing from the bb or r-series unit at the droid depot. You also have the option to purchase premade and premium droids as well as model kits and accessories. The more crafty individual might like to choose from a collection of upcycled objects crafted from scrap parts. Looking to purchase in-story Star Wars merchandise? Consider:

  • Toydarian Toy Maker
    Artisanal playthings and handmade collectibles
    this storefront will be cluttered with crates of toymaking supplies and other unique works in progress
  • Dok-ondar’s Den of Antiquities
    Shop for mysterious and unique galactic artifacts – items include everything from jewellery, ancient tools, rare kyber crystals, statues and even a collection of famous light sabers.
  • Creature Stall
    Cages and crates will be filled with creatures from across the galaxy, one being Kowakian monkey-lizards
  • Black Spire Outfitters
    Browse through a huge selection of clothing seen in a variety of worlds in the star wars movies to take home.

  • Oga’s Cantina
    Enjoy a varying menu of exotic concoctions with choices for kids and adults with some music being played by droid DJ R-3X, a former Starspeeder 3000 pilot.
  • Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
    Choose from an array of star wars themed, American and vegetarian dishes

Food and beverage stalls

  • Ronto Roasters – sample some of smelter droid 8D-J8’s rxotic meats
  • Milk Stand – quirky stall offering blue or green frozen refreshments
  • Kat Saka’s Kettle – grain vendor selling the ever-popular outpost popcorn mix
