Grammy-winning sound engineer Tim Young chooses Chord Electronics

Grammy Award-winning mastering engineer Tim Young, (Grammy for The Beatles’ ‘Love’ album 5.1 Surround Sound mastering) has chosen the world’s most advanced digital-to-analogue convertor, Chord Electronics ’ flagship DAVE, for all mastering duties at London’s Metropolis Studios.

Tim Young‘s career as an audio mastering engineer blossomed at the start of the 1980s. After delivering multi-platinum albums for The Clash, Sade, The Smiths, Elton John, The Pretenders and many others, Tim became the first non-US mastering engineer to win a Grammy Award, plus in 2011, he also won the Music Producers Guild Mastering Engineer of the Year award.

Now with over twenty years of mastering experience at Metropolis, Tim is in constant demand from all levels of recording artist. His more recent credits include Elbow, The Killers, Take That, Manic Street Preachers and 5.1 mastering for Queen.

Commenting on his choice of DAVE DAC, Tim said,
