What are supermodels reading?

Kaya Gerber, Cindy Crawford and Karlie Kloss – we take advice from the beautiful and intelligent.

We know practically everything about how supermodels look after their bodies. We have already discovered Doutzen Kroes’ smoothie recipe, we studied the anti-aging diet of Giselle Bündchen in detail, we follow Izabel Goulart’s exercise routine at the gym. But these beauties do not spend all their time working on their bodies. Sometime each of them takes some time for spiritual food, so let’s take a look at what books supermodels read in their spare time.

Cindy Crawford is one of the biggest lovers to read, prefers books about a healthy lifestyle. Some of them she often advises on her Instagram. For example, from the latter – ‘The Revolution of Sleep: How to Change Your Life Night after Night’ by the founder of The Huffington Post Arianna Huffington. The author explains how dangerous the lack of sleep could be and why you should not make it a part of your life. In addition to books, Cindy reads newspapers, most of the time, the print versions.

Mom’s example is clearly contagious, and Cindy’s 15-year-old daughter Kaya Gerber is not far behind. However, for now she focuses on fiction; last time a book by John Green ‘In search of Alaska’ was spotted in one of her Instagram posts. Despite the fact that the novel was published in 2005, John Green received a lot of awards and is already part of the curriculum in several US states.

Gisele Bündchen is a true seeker for harmony, and as we can see she is keen to archive it not only from the outside, but on the inside as well. This corresponds with her choices in literature – she loves to read about inner harmony and peace. One of the books that we spotted on the model’s bookshelf is a ‘Journey of The Adopted Self: A Quest for Wholeness’ by Betty Jean Lifton on finding the right balance with adopted kids.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the famous Victoria’s Secret Angel in her spare time likes to plunge in the world of novels. ‘Sweetbitter’ written by Stephanie Dunler – the book she has been reading recently – was on the list of best books in 2016 according to The Times.

Karlie Kloss prefers to study stories about the lives of famous people – last time we saw an autobiography of Diane von Furstenberg ‘The Woman I Wanted to Be’. Nice choice, Karlie! We absolutely love that book as well! The famous designer wrote it at the age of 67 and tells a story of her mother, marriage, divorce, raising her children, coming up with the idea of a wrap dress, it’s rapid success, failures and, most importantly, building a relationship with herself.
